I am a Jesus loving, connection driven, opinionated, truth-telling, devoted wife of 13 years to the man of my dreams and a ferocious mama bear to a magical 8-year-old daughter and a tenacious 19-month-old son. Born and raised in Texas, walking graveyards while telling ghost stories, sitting on creaking porches, riding horses, giggling with cousins on back pews of tiny churches, eating more fried, well— anything than should be allowed, running from giant grasshoppers, and dreading going back home to the city away from the freedom and family of the country.
Since those days, I’ve been afforded opportunities to veer off the dirt roads of East Texas and walk the rich soil of vineyards in Napa, travel a bit, get some higher learning under my belt, meet people from all walks of life, and fall deeply in love with seeking God’s will for myself, my marriage, my children, my family, and my community.
I am a little cultured and a little country. When you put the two together, you get a girl that can whip up a mean scratch cake, host a well-appointed social like nobody’s business, put ketchup on steak, serve dinner on paper plates with fine flatware (because I can wash a fork but who’s got time for plates?!), indulge in a luxurious spa day, or sit around a campfire and roast marshmallows with my babies.
